Feeling a Festival!
Friday 1 August 2014 • 07:23 • 2 comments

Festival season is already in full swing, and I'm off to Boardmasters in Newquay next week, anyone else!?
Outfit planning has started and I'd though I'd share some I've put together over the next week or so...
This outfit is head to knee Topshop and the shoes are Choies. I love the floppy hats except they always seem to blow off in the slightest bit of wind, nightmare! The blue vest underneath is one of the new cropped vest/bandeaus stocked and I think they're great for layering or with a pair of high-waisted shorts and a kimono. I love this little 60s style mini dress- less is more!
My friends bought me a Fujifilm Mini Instax 8 polaroid camera for my birthday and it's soooo cute! The pictures make such good keepsakes and they also look great pinned or hung up, so it will definitely be coming to Cornwall with me :-)
I hope everyone's having a lovely summer break wherever you are in the world

Back to Brunette & Blogging!
Tuesday 29 July 2014 • 07:59 • 0 comments

I feel like I haven't blogged in forever...probably because I haven't. I've been so busy working and doing school stuff, particularly now as I have a new job at Topshop which I love! Any free time I've had has been spent sleeping, online shopping or watching back-to-back episodes of The Vampire Diaries on Netflix which I'm completely obsessed with; anyone else!? Anyway, I've collected quite a large collection of clothes over the past few months so I've decided to get back into regular blogging again :) and I've also gone back to brunette!

I love this outfit, mainly from Missguided! The shorts are high waisted and are made from a sort of scuba material and seem to go with everything! The top is cropped and has mesh sleeves. It's from the Nicole X Missguided collection and it's so cute and comfortable!

The shoes are actually my prom shoes and are from JustFab.co.ul. They're sooo comfortable and they were a bargain at £27!

As for the tattoos, I was in Camden last week and got the one on my hand done by a lovely lady on a henna stall! I also bought henna cones (which were 5 for £3 in a shop on the high street in Camden so make sure you don't get ripped off!) so I could do them myself, which I did on my feet-I think they look really cool for summer! I also love the smokey eye in-the-corner at the moment :) all outfit details are below

Springtime Nails!
Thursday 8 May 2014 • 12:21 • 2 comments

Procrastination at it's finest. I spent a good 3 hours doing my nails when I should have been revising for my first A Level exam which is a week away; not ideal but at least I have nice nails...
I found an amazing nail blog that I absolutely love called Nina Nailed It. She creates the most amazing designs, some which inspired these nails:) Undoubtedly, they are quite messy as I used a dotter tool rather than a fine brush as I couldn't find mine anywhere, but they look lovely when you hold them far away...

Let me know either here or on my Instagram which is linked on the left if you would like to see more nail posts!
p.s I wish my nails in these photos were real, but they're not; they're eBay's finest fakes (£2.99 for 600, so probably not top quality but they do)

(from top left to bottom right) I used a Topshop Dotter Tool, Primark Nail Pen, Rimmel Top Coat Matte Finish Varnish, Models Own 'Apple Pie' from the scented collection, Rimmel 60 Seconds 430 Coralicious, Rimmel Lasting Finish 030 Double Decker Red & Collection 1 Liquorice. I haven't photographed the bottles of the base colours, but the navy base colour is Essie 'no more film' and the pink base colour is No7 the nude colour for french manicure, doesn't have a name!

Opportunist of ASOS' 25% off...
Monday 5 May 2014 • 13:08 • 0 comments

I've been slapping my wrist recently because when I started this blog I told myself to make sure I update it at least twice a week yet the last time I updated was over 2 weeks ago! Sorryyyyy...I've been spending all my free time revising and will be until mid June:( BUT I am going to make sure I update the blog regularly now!

Anyway, to the outfit. I think you would have had to have been hiding under a rock or blind to not know ASOS had a 25%-off-everything sale last week and I just couldn't resist having a browse...
I've been looking for some smart trousers that I could dress up and down in the summer for a while and ASOS had such a huge range of choices. I decided to buy these in black and also a similar pair in pastel blue which will be on the blog soon. They're really lightweight with really deep pockets; I love them. One thing I would say is that they come up quite big so maybe if you are between an 8 and 10, go with the 8.
I styled them up with ASOS high neck top in pastel blue which is like a thick chiffon material and I'm living in it at the moment. I wore it with this outfit the other day, but it also looks great with jeans and shorts! It also comes in black and white so I think I'm going to have to buy it in all the colours...
The belt is my go-to chunky belt which I also live in cause it literally goes with everything and was £2.99 from New Look- bargain! And such good quality.
I have nooo idea where the clutch is from as I found it in a charity shop for £2.50 but I was very chuffed with that find. My shoes; well if you read my blog you'll know they are from Choies as I wear them in almost every post...I do have other shoes I promise!

On another note I went to see 'The Other Woman' on Friday and it's such a good film; I highly recommend it! It's funny, romantic, sad, dramatic and definitely the best film I've seen this year- I'm also so excited to see Bad Neighbours at some point this week! Zac Efron. That's all.
I hope you had a lovely bank holiday weekend!

Something a little bit different...

(Model: Elliey)

This post is a little bit different to usual outfit posts, but I wanted to share:)

This is one of my recent shoots for my Photography project and I really really like it! My theme is 'Disguise', in which I'm disguising a model through an overwhelming amount of lighting and makeup. I love the coloured lighting and, as I have an obsession with glitter eyebrows at the moment, I went a bit over the top with it... I ended up using it as the actual face paint but I think it looks pretty cool!
I wish I could pursue a career in something creative like this, but I'm unable to but I think I'll carry it on as a hobby!
Anyway, sorry it's not an outfit or review post, but I thought these shots were too cool not to share! Let me know what you think? Social media links are on the left!

Comfy Casual Days
Friday 18 April 2014 • 09:07 • 0 comments

Hii!
Sorry it's just a quick post today as I'm heading out for work in a minute!
I gave myself a break from revision yesterday and went into town and...well... I only went in to go to the bank but there wasn't much point in the end as I ended up with no money to pay in, oops...
I've been wanting Topshop's Joni Jeans for agessss but they're just so overpriced!? So my friend suggested I look in Primark and we found so dupes for only £10 a pair, and they're lovely material and fit so I bought them in black and blue, the blue being the ones I'm wearing in this post. However, we'll see what they're like once they've been through the wash a few times and I'll get back to you... but saved a good £30!
I also went into Zara which is never a smart move, and I've been wanting this super cute sweatshirt forever, and at only £20 I had to buy it! The quote on the back is so cute and it's soo comfy, so, I took it home. It's great for lazy days but I think it looks quite cool for going out somewhere casual too!
I'm wearing my Choies boots (as usual) which, if you already read my blog, you know all about! So comfortable and go with absolutely everything!
I've also had this bag for a while and I love it. It's so pretty and it's from ASOS- it's just the right size for everyday outings, and I'm a satchel lover anyway so there was no reason not to buy it.

On another note, I wanted to try the MAC lipliner in 'Spice", but I just couldn't justify buying it at the moment. I was looking at the Rimmel stand in Boots and I found a lipliner which looked very similar, also called Spice and it was only £2.99 so I thought I would save myself some money and try it out! I'm wearing it in this post, and you can see it more clearly in the bottom right picture; it's not exactly the same but I still think it's really nice! I will leave all links below:)
I hope you all have a lovely easter weekend and eat ridiculous amounts of chocolate

Zara Sweatshirt
Primark doesn't have an online store- sorry!
Choies Boots
ASOS Satchel (this is the slightly smaller version, I think the larger one that I have is sold out, but it's exactly the same design wise)

L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara Review
Thursday 17 April 2014 • 12:02 • 0 comments

Hii!
I haven't got an outfit post today, it's a review on the new mascara from L'Oreal, Miss Manga.
So I've been looking for a decent, long lasting mascara for a long time. When I feel like I've eventually found a good one, I find a flaw; it doesn't stay on for two minutes, it flakes down my face or the brush is just awful- or all of the above! I've tried cheaper mascaras such as the Maybelline ones, to Benefit 'They're Real' to Chanel. But the best by far that I've ever tried is Miss Manga.
It comes in a few differnt colours, but I went for black because I use it as an everyday mascara.
Although the brush is quite flimsy, it's great for applying and the liquid itself if has a really good consistency.
At only £8.99, it's a must have for any makeup bag!
Overall I give it a 5/5- let the pictures explain why!
Miss Manga is available in all Boots, Superdrugs and any other drug/department/beauty stores! ♡

Picture- 1 layer of Miss Manga to the left eye
Picture 2- 2 layers of Miss Manga to both eyes
Picture 3- my mascara without being reapplied after 6 hours!
